Meet GREG SURBEY
Hi, I'm Greg Surbey and I'm running for State House Rep. to serve my neighbors in Nashua, Ward 6, District 24. I believe the paramount issue today in New Hampshire is the economy. We have lost jobs during this economic downturn and we need a legislative body that will take corrective action to reverse this trend.
Contrary to the Wall Street Journal, the Economy is not some body of big banks that lives off government bailouts. The real Economy is you, it is me, it is our neighbors who have kids when one parent just got laid off, it's the price of everything going up, it is all of us together as individuals fighting hard everyday just to stay above water.
Where is your personal bailout? I don't know about you, but I didn't get one. Each and every one of us needs a tax break enacted with true equality all across the board. In our households we are tightening our belts and so the State of New Hampshire must act in accordance with that same common sense. Instead, spending in our State has gone up more than 30% over the last two years. And what does the gang in Concord have to show for it? Absolutely nothing. Are there jobs? Ask your fellow neighbor if the record overspending has helped them. We all know it is a failed policy.
Small businesses make up 96.7% of all New Hampshire businesses. Small business is the true backbone of our NH economy. And now, as a result of Concord's irresponsible spending, our small businesses will be clobbered with a new 13.5% increase in taxes; out of nowhere and all at once! This is guaranteed to immediately close many “mom and pop's” and discourage further entrepreneurship. Vast numbers of jobs will be eliminated as small businesses struggle to survive. This is a recipe for economic disaster! In order to restore jobs, we need to quickly and immediately cut all unnecessary spending and make our government light, nimble, and most of all, humble once again. We need to fix New Hampshire, and we need to fix it now.
I'm Greg Surbey and I value honestly, integrity, and accountability. If you share my views and values, I would appreciate your support and your vote this November 2nd. Working together, I know we can put our State back on track.
